Information
Natural Science Museum of Bergamo rose from geological, botanical, zoological and ethnographic collections given by private collectors and from the Royal Technical Institute in 1918. After many movings the museum was finally located in the ancient Visconti building in Piazza Cittadella, in the historical part of the town, in 1960.

Admission is FREE for the owners of Abbonamento Regionale dei Musei and during the events promoted by the municipal administration of Bergamo.
How to get there:
By car: A4 Highway “Bergamo” exit; go to “Città Alta” (the Upper Town) and “ Largo Colle Aperto”. The Museum is in Piazza Cittadella which is closed to traffic. There are paying car parks along the Wall of Bergamo and in Colle Aperto. On Saturdays, Sundays afternoon and Festivities, Città Alta is closed to traffic. You can park in Città Bassa (Downtown).
By train: catch the bus (1A) and from the FS Bergamo Station go to Colle Aperto/University, you can buy the ticket at the Station. You can also reach the museum by Funicolare, get to Città Alta and walk in the historic centre.
